Solid Waste Department
The Solid Waste Department for the City of Spearfish includes the Garbage Collection as well as the Restricted Use Site (Rubble Site).
Collection Unit
The collection unit has 3 full-time employees who cover over 3900 residential and commercial accounts Monday through Friday.
2021 Holiday Route Schedules
Routes will run their normally scheduled pickup days on federally recognized holidays with the following exceptions:
- Veterans Day, November 11th - Thursday pickup will be Wednesday
- Thanksgiving, November 25th - Thursday pickup will be Wednesday; no changes to Friday routes
- Christmas Eve, December 24th - Friday pickup will be Thursday
- New Year's Eve, December 31st - Friday pickup will be Thursday
