SPEARFISH, SD – On-demand streaming service, Hoopla Digital, is now available for free at Grace Balloch Memorial Library in Spearfish, giving library card holders immediate access to more than 1 million books, audiobooks, comics, movies, television shows, Great Courses, and magazines.

Content can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device or platform by downloading the hoopla digital app for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast, or Roku. Hoopla Digital allows patrons to borrow content immediately.

Our library has offered a digital collection since 2011 through OverDrive and its Libby app, but as demand grows, we are looking to increase our offerings with additional formats and reduce wait times for popular items with on-demand access, said Library Director Amber Wilde. Hoopla fills that need and will be a great addition to the library’s digital services.

The Hoopla Digital collection includes fan favorite movies, newly released albums, New York Times bestselling titles, and exclusive STEAM educational content to enhance each user’s experience.

Library card holders may check out up to five titles per month on Hoopla. Users need to set up an account for this service using an email and password of their choosing. It will then prompt users to enter their library card number (located on the back of the library card) and library pin (the user’s last name in lower case letters).

Library patrons may download the apps or access the Hoopla site at https://www.cityofspearfish.com/220/Digital-Library. For more information, contact Grace Balloch Memorial Library at (605) 642-1330.
