Work beginning on Dahl Road
SPEARISH, SD - Work has begun on a sanitary sewer trunkline extension on Dahl Road starting at 11th Street and proceeding to Colorado Boulevard.
A&L Contractors LLC is the prime contractor on the project. The overall completion date is November 1, 2022, with the contractor targeting completion of work by June 1, 2022, depending on weather.
During the project, the asphalt on Dahl Road will be removed, and the new sewer line will be installed. The work will be done in multiple phases. Access will be maintained from either the east or the west, but through traffic will be blocked during most of the project. Dahl Road will have a temporary gravel surface until the road can be replaced with asphalt. A small portion of sidewalk along Colorado Boulevard will be removed and replaced, along with other minor concrete work. Westbound Colorado Boulevard at the Dahl Road intersection will be reduced to one lane during portions of the project.
Please use caution and reduced speeds when passing the construction zone and follow all construction signage.
