[ARCHIVED] City of Spearfish website redesign to launch July 31st

website preview

SPEARFISH, S.D. – After the morning of July 31st when visiting the City of Spearfish’s website,, users will notice an appealing new look and design.

Created through CivicPlus, an integrated technology platform for local government, the updated, mobile-friendly CivicEngage website provides optimized design to ensure citizens can easily navigate and interact with content from any desktop computer, smartphone, or tablet – anytime, anywhere.

The City started working on the website redesign earlier this year, with the launch of the new design set for the morning of Monday, July 31st. The new look keeps the same capabilities citizens came to expect with the previous version, including the ability to create an account login for the website so that it becomes a personalized tool to download forms, submit applications and permits, access to pay bills, submit and track inquiries, etc.

Calendar functionality on the website allows citizens to stay informed about the scheduling of City events, including public meetings, classes, activities, community events, etc., and users can subscribe to receive multi-channel notifications on the topics that matter the most to them. Citizens can choose to be notified by email or text message.

The site also features intuitive search functionality and navigation menus to make it easy for citizens to locate exactly what they are looking for from the homepage.

On the website, citizens can access various forms, documents, and files they routinely require so they accomplish many tasks without the need to walk into an office or place a phone call. They can also search and see public meeting agendas and minutes to remain informed and engaged in public policy and local issues.
