The Lawrence County Auditors are offering early voting for the Primary Election from May 23rd through June 6th, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, at City Hall, 625 N Fifth Street, in rooms A & B on the main floor near the City Finance Office.
Those desiring to vote early must bring an acceptable ID, which includes a South Dakota’s driver’s license or non-driver ID card; a passport or other picture ID issued by the United States government; a tribal photo ID; or a current student photo ID issued by a South Dakota high school or post-secondary education institution.
Voters may access the Voter Information Portal at https://sdsos.gov/elections-voting/default.aspx, by clicking on the box labeled “Voter Information Portal (VIP), to view their personal sample ballot, check voter registration, find polling locations, etc.
Election Day is Tuesday, June 7, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The polling locations on Election Day are as follows:
- Voters who are registered in Spearfish City Limits – Spearfish Senior Center, 1306 N 10th Street
- Voters who are registered outside of Spearfish City Limits – W.S. Tretheway Pavilion, 115 S Canyon Street
