The historic log cabin was once known as The Community House designed and built in 1924 by W.S. Knight and Gus Jatko. The historic Log Cabin, located in Spearfish City Park is available for small group rentals May through September.

Deposits & Fees
The rental fee is $75 per day. To make a reservation, the applicant is required to pay a $25 deposit at the time of booking. Deposits go towards the rental fee. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the rental date and will be taken from the payment method on file. A credit card must be supplied to secure a rental date. The card will be kept on file to cover any damage or additional charges that may occur.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must occur at least 30 days prior to a rental date in order to receive a refund. No refunds will be given after that time. No refunds will be given as a result or prediction of inclement weather.
Alcohol Permits & Licenses
If alcohol is present at this location, a Brown Bag Permit or Special Alcohol License is required. The Brown Bag Permit fee is $40. Payment is due 30 days prior to the rental date and will be charged to the payment method on file. This fee is non-refundable. Special Alcohol Licenses may be obtained at the City Finance Office.
Insurance
This location requires renters to maintain occurrence based commercial general liability insurance with a limit of not less than one $300,000 per occurrence. A Certificate of Liability showing coverage is required to be submitted 30 days prior to the rental date. The Certificate must show the City of Spearfish as the Certificate Holder.
